Split History & Nature Tour

Description

Tour to Split is a tour where we will visit city of Split and its famous 1700 years old Palace of the Roman emperor Diocletian that was enlisted in UNESCO’s World Heritage since it’s one of the most significant original structures of the late ancient architecture. During the tour you will be also introduced to Peristyle (the central square inside the palace), Saint Duje’s Cathedral (patron saint of Split), Diocletian’s mausoleum, Jupiter’s temple, Vestibul, Golden Gate, Diocletian’s underground vaults, waterfront and other important historical and cultural sites of Split

Our tour starts with ride from Dubrovnik along Dalmatian coast towards Split.
On the way to Split we will make stop where you want you just need o tell us..
Once we arrive in Split, our guide will show you Peristyle (the central square inside the palace), Saint Duje’s Cathedral (patron saint of Split), Diocletian’s mausoleum, Jupiter’s temple, Vestibul, Golden Gate, Diocletian’s underground vaults, waterfront  all important historical and cultural sites.

After the tour of Split old town you will have free time in Split.

When you will like we will depart towards Dubrovnik on a way back we can show you Klis fortress, famous cave “Vanjacha” near Split what ever you like.

• Airconditioned vehicle (we have variety of vehicles available depending on group’s number and preferences) with english speaking driver/guide
• Visit of Split (private guided tour of Split)
• highway toll and parking fees

• Entrance ticket to Klis Fortress – optional (3 EUR/person)
• Other entrance tickets: Diocletian’s cellars, St. Dujam’s Belltower (your guided walking tour of Split will not require any additiional tickets)
• Food and drinks along the way

• 07:00 – hotel pickup
• 08:00 –  border crossing in and out of Bosnia–coffee stop
• 09:00 – entering highway to Split
• 10:00 – arrival Split
• 11:15-15:00 – tour of Split Old Town, free time
• 15:00 – departure from Split (possible stops on the way Klis fortress,famous cave „Vanjacha „)
• 18:00 -arrival in Dubrovnik (possible stops on the way) *in high season return time might be later due to traffic and border conditions
